Federal Solicitation Roundup: 20 New Opportunities September 14 – September 20, 2026

September 21, 2026 · 9 min read

Twenty new federal opportunities were processed in RFP Snapshot this week, September 14-20, 2026 - each read, structured, and condensed into a downloadable ~4-page Snapshot. Two patterns stand out. First, the deadlines are tight: the DOI Departmental Emergency Support Team RFI closes today, and 11 of the 20 close by September 30, the last day of the fiscal year. Second, the vehicle: all 20 ran through OASIS+ pools, continuing the trend from our June roundups (16 of 17, 16 of 24, and 16 of 23). That's the task-order and market-research traffic only visible to vehicle holders watching GSA eBuy day to day.

The list below is ordered by response deadline, soonest first, with the draft Commerce SRAS RFQ placed last. The mix is 8 RFPs and 12 RFIs, so there is real bidding to do alongside the shaping work. The marquee is the Air Force's CLASS advisory and assistance RFQ: a 100% small business set-aside on OASIS+ SB with the longest runway of the week (November 6). Watch for a spectrum theme too: Commerce SRAS, FCC BDC II, and USSTRATCOM's JEMSOC all landed in the same week. Jump to any item from the table, or open its full Snapshot for the scope, key personnel, evaluation approach, and dates in one place. New to RFP Snapshot? How to work this list

Triage by document type before reading anything in depth. The eight RFPs (Air Force CLASS, FCC BDC II, NGB TSSS, Coast Guard Baltimore, DOT Turner-Fairbank, FTA acquisition support, USDA Missoula, and the draft Commerce SRAS RFQ) are live competitions where the clock is running, and four of them are due by September 30, so for those the job is compliance, not capture. The 12 RFIs are shaping opportunities: lower effort to respond to, but a real chance to influence scope, NAICS, and set-aside before the formal solicitation drops. USCIS FOIA and DOL ILAB are both still collecting size data to decide the set-aside, and DOI DEST, USCIS FOIA, and USMC ITSM each list two NAICS codes, an open door to weigh in on the right one. For a repeatable method, see our guide on how to rip through a government RFP in under 10 minutes.

Several of these will be won on people. F-35 FAACE needs cost estimators and EVM analysts, JEMSOC needs spectrum operations planners, and FTA needs contract specialists. Our Recruiter Accelerator turns each key personnel position into a job description, salary range, and Boolean search strings, and the Proposal Kickoff Accelerator generates the kickoff deck, compliance matrix, and questions for the government.

The throughline this week is OASIS+: all twenty opportunities ran through an OASIS+ pool, including three in 8(a) Pool 20101 alone. That's the lane where a lot of high-value work lives, and it's largely invisible unless you hold the vehicle and watch eBuy. If that's unfamiliar territory, our explainer on federal contract vehicles and our OASIS+ task-order triage guide break down how to position for them. Want this in your inbox every Monday?
